First Impressions
The Giant Talon 2 29er right out of the box is an extremely eye catching bike with the bright orange paint job this year. Two beefy Maxxis Icon 2.2 tires on the 29er rims are great of any off road path but not too bulky that you can still get away with comfortable riding on paved surfaces.
The Internals
As always the seat post, saddle, stem are all Giants in house designs giving a nice and smooth finish to the bike. Looking at the gears the Talon 2 is rocking the Shimano Acera/Alivio for the shifter and derailleur combos. This is a great mid range groupset with the Alivio coming in just under the iconic Shimano Deore.
Brakes
The Talon 2 has a set of Tektro HDC M275 hydraulic disc brakes with 180mm front rotor for superior stopping power. Pair this with the matching Tektro brake levels and this bike can take on whatever you can throw at it!
Gears
Shimano Acera 9-Speed shifters will power your ride with their fast smooth trigger shifts.
